Through a 2023 hyperpop reincarnation over ​thr6x drill beats, ovine hall serves as ​glaive’s hyperpop alter-ego. Started during the rollout of his debut album, i care so much that i dont care at all, glaive would begin to experiment with high-pitched songs on alternate SoundCloud accounts, such as “how could i be mad?” and “i would pay to see them try.” The title of the alias would be unknowingly revealed in a tweet on April 4, 2023, followed a month later with teasers for the self-titled EP. Initially, the project was released only on SoundCloud. It was later added to streaming platforms on May 20, 2023, with the exception of “i need a bitch that look like lisa from blackpink.”

Privately, the SoundCloud account would be used (alongside another) to store a handful of unreleased tracks and demos that would all surface in late 2023, leading fans to believe the alias was discarded.

In 2024, glaive returned to ovine hall with 4 releases, teasing “pardon me” and “do it for me”–two self-produced, fan-favorite tracks–throughout March, surprise releasing outside in May, then a long-awaited return in November with “victoria beckham freestyle,” released through an On The Radar freestyle video.
